Algorithmic sequencer options

What is the problem?

This is an idea that I have for quite a long time now, since I’ve read in the manual regarding Sequencer & Arp (chapter 7) “Two functions that automate pattern
generation are available for each synth.”.

This feature request is about adding additional “pattern generation” functions (see attached image of Polyend Synth architecture).
Specifically algorithmic sequencers that could be used to generate input for each synth.
I’m thinking of Mutable Instruments Marbles, Music Thing Modular Turing Machine, Euclidean sequences etc.

Of course it should be possible to quantize the output of those generator functions or engines to selected scales.
The pads could reflect the state of the engines and instead of note input allow interaction with these engines or generators.

What should this feature achieve?

This feature adds new explorative and inspirational tools to the Polyend Synth.
It will greatly expand the options for music styles that rely on random sequences or sequences in general (ambient music, techno etc.).
It will inject some “groovebox like” feel to the Polyend Synth (for example combining a Euclidian Sequence with a percussive synth patch).

Are there any workarounds?
