Hi,
I have a Tracker, Play and Synth and I’m looking for a suitable Midi Thru box so that I can allow the Tracker to talk to multiple external devices including the Play and the Synth. Are there any specific requirements as all these boxes use TRS MIDI sockets? For instance will the Polyend 5 PIN to TRS midi adapter cables work with something like a Kenton Midi Thru box as long as I am using genuine standard MIDI cables.
I’d be very grateful for any advice as I think I’m right in saying that none of these three Polyend units have Midi Thru capabilites.
Many Thanks
Les
Hi Les!
I haven’t used a Midi Thru box, but I used different setups with the Play and the Tracker, with a digitakt and the roland s-1.
Polyend uses TRS type B, that you have to keep in mind if you use trs / trs cables, or if you buy a new trs to midi. With the adapters that comes with the Polyend’s devices you should be good to go.
As for a recommendation @Sandroid told that he used the Widi Thru6 BT by CME. Personally Im interested in the Blokas midi hub… its more expensive but have some cool features.
Well, hope that helps .

I can totally recommend the Blokas Midihub. It has four ins and four outs that you can route any way you can imagine. If you don’t need anything fancy, the MIDI Quadra Thru is perfectly fine. I also have a Kenton box, but that was mainly used for connecting my Tracker to an OP-1 which uses USB only. Both the Kenton and the Quadra Thru are redundant since I got the Blokas.
I do have a couple TRS-B to regular DIN MIDI cables so I can connect my Tracker without having to use any dongles. Since you’re using a MIDI box to connect just Polyend machines, there’s probably no way around getting a couple of those cables as well.
