Add MIDI CCs to control delay settings.
What is the problem?
The delay, reverb, EQ, and limiter are really expressive effects (in particular, modulating the delay time and feedback sounds fantastic), but it’s easy for things to get out of control if you’re manipulating other stuff at the same time.
What do you want to achieve?
While the new shift-encoder feature in 1.8.0 makes it easier to, for example, turn the feedback quickly between 0 and 100%, I would love to have a way to automate it via MIDI.
Specifically, I’d love to see MIDI control (CC or NRPN) of the following:
- delay sync on/off
- delay sync rate
- delay time
- delay feedback
(pingpong and filter would be nice to have too)
Are there any workarounds?
Keeping the delay screen open and jamming with it while recording on another device has worked for me, but it’s not ideal.
