Acid 303 - ACD engine

I wonder can anyone comment how authentically 303-ish the ACD engine can get? i.e. Roland TB-303.

Or is it not really similar

Its more a SH 101 in its own way. It can make Acid for sure and a 303 emulation dosent have to sound “close” to a real one for me.

the big part is the sequencer. I hate the 303 sequencer but its workflow makes it very easy to create those great Acidlines. I never got this to work in the Play plus for me, the sequencer on the play is great for oneshots but for acidlines and even technoid sequences it just does not work for me tbh.

I am also interested if someone manage and want to share how to make some good acid lines with ACD !

I’m interested too Inna way to make an acid bass preset. There’s one in the FM synth that remind me a lot but maybe it can be done more closely.

I have a behringee td3 which I love. And it pairs very well with play+ but it needs an additional box.
So the setup is growing and if I can get something closer I’d be happy. I’m going to investigate.

Obviously the ACD engine is the starting point I guess…

The main problem I see here is that’s isn’t distortion in the synth part. I believe there is a wish for that but I doubt that we will see it. It would be great.
