Ability to rearrange track lanes

What is the problem?

When a user starts using the Play, it is likely that they won’t have a system to sort tracks. If later on they have a system and they want to apply it to previous projects, rearranging tracks is complicated.

What do you want to achieve?

Option to move tracks up or down. It would be useful to also have an option to move the equivalent tracks in variations and in all patterns in a project automatically.

Are there any workarounds?

Select a track, copy it, and paste it… except this only works when the destination row is empty, and most of the times you probably have another track that needs to be moved as well.

This is something I use a TON on the Deluge… and I find it very helpful because I have a mental model of how each sound ‘stacks’ within my track. It really improves usability to be able to replicate that model visually in the device.

This would be super useful, especially now the tracker has 12 lanes only up to 8 tracks are going to be visible at once

Just for the workaround - its easier to reorganize the whole track order not by copy/paste track, but copypaste variation…

this would be great on the tracker & mini given that if you don’t want your synth tracks to use your sample tracks you end up having to scroll back n forth between 1-8 & 9-16 all the time.

would be cool to be able to reorder them on screen.
