A Week of Polyend

Thanks Sandroid. You were right again. The folder was in the Mono Sample Pack. I thought these were mono.

Lots of good content has been pushed this week!

Glad to see the enthusiasm around all of these, thank you! Play and Play+ firmware updates are officially out now, the only new feature is PERC on Play+, and then stability fixes on Play. We’ll be working to get the rest of these out of beta, and will update you with more public betas on these features once bug fixes are complete.

I think this has been an amazing Week of Polyend. We couldn’t ask for more.

I’m looking forward to get the beta features polished and included in stable releases.

It was a great week! What are your plans for the rest of this year? Should we expect updates? Or new products :see_no_evil: @Mitch

No more new products - I’ll answer as much as I can in the QA, which I’ll try and do next Monday.

You will notice that this “Polyend Week” was only 6 days. It was originally intended to be 7 so I could be more transparent about the launch of a new device BUT…the Synth almost leaked. Don’t ask me why, I don’t know why - someone listed one on Craigslist a few days before “Polyend Week” so I didn’t mention a new device as you all could have found this pretty easily, and we didn’t want to reveal Synth without a full explanation of it.

Someone emailed support about this listing instead of posting it on a forum, and I need to track that person down and give them a medal or something.

Honestly, I don’t see a big drama in this. Perhaps you wanted to keep it a secret and prepare more thoroughly, but overall it didn’t affect anything for the end user. If it makes you feel better, I can cheer you up with a similar story about Teenage Engineering. They kept their new synthesizer a secret for a week, but in the end, information about the new product appeared on social media before it was on their official site. It happens.

In any case, I would like to know what your strategy is for the rest of the year and what you want to focus on in the near future.

Personally, there might be some features that could be added, but globally, I hope you continue to work effectively on fixing bugs and improving the stability of all products.

The only people who had these were internal and influencers before the release?

And sound designers, and most stores had it in advance. Ultimately we do know who it was and it doesn’t matter now. No one seemed noticed the listing except some hero that emailed it to us and it got taken down, but you could still find it indexed on Duck-duck-go. Just didnt want to fuel speculation on it before launch, and wanted to clarify why it was a 6 day week of Polyend instead of 7.

Hello,

when will the next updates for Tracker and Play fall?

Currently we only see content for the Synth. Is this device blocking the development for the others?

Hello, where is the open communication about Play and Tracker?

Since the release of Synth we haven’t seen any development on the rest of the products from the public point of view.

They just put out firmware for every tracker and play in November?

That is Great, so whats next?

There are two Open-Beta features out right now for Play/Play+. Seems like Polyend has been busily improving their devices.
