Okay so I’m really not a skilled synth patch designer but I thought I’d add a scene here as it’s a bit lonely! Basically I’ve sampled the Korg M1 Piano used in just about every dance song in the 90s. It blends a C4 & C5 note – and I’ve also included a C3 in the samples in case that’s more use to you.
Engine 1
Bass: Instead of using the classic 303 I went for more of the flabby bass used on Rhythm is a Dancer.
Engine 2
Korg M1 Organ: I tried to create one myself then found (I think) a Polyend patch that was miles better than mine. I’ve included mine too.
Note: I don’t think you need to copy the “M1 Organ.patch” as I think it’s already on the SD – but I’ve included it just in case it’s not.
Engine 3
M1 Piano: (See above)
Chord Pack
I’ve included a chord pack that I created for this scene that works on the Piano engine. Basically it’s a bog standard dance progression but I’ve put I’ve paired up the chords so a higher inversion of the chord is next to it. This means you can tap between the two to get that classic dance piano sound. (Hope that makes sense)
