I’m creating a new thread because my earlier thread was a little mixed up. I successfully installed the new DWA scenes that came with v.1.3. But I believe three of the new scenes are missing some samples. VAAG_RANBURU is missing the Ranburu sample for the Yellow engine. And VAAG_RANBURU is also missing the Guitarish sample for the Blue engine. VAAG_TA505 is missing the Plinkat sample for the Purple engine. And finally, ATCHA_POPDANCER is missing the Wild Deva sample for the Blue engine. My DWA sample download consisted of 118 items. I scrolled through those 118 items looking for these four missing samples but they’re not there.
Sorry for this, did you download it right when annouced? I believe I updated the files about an hour after launch.
Mitch - I just downloaded 1.3 again and looked at the list of DWA samples. The four samples that I mentioned above, Ranburu, Guitarish, Plinkat, and Wild Deva are NOT included in the 118 items.
Yeah the scenes were updated to correct the tuning/other issues about an hour after launch, so renistalling the factory scenes should fix the issue. I’ve tested it twice today with the content on the webisite.
So does VAAG_RANBURU Yellow and Blue engines both play?
Yes, to make sure it does please reinstall factory scenes, samples, and patches for DWA.
Mitch - I reinstalled Scenes and Samples (from the current 1.3 download) into their respective microSD card folders. I got an error message trying to reinstall Patches. VAAG_RANBURU, VAAG_TA595, and ATCHA_POPDANCER now play on all of their synth engines.
What I still don’t understand, Mitch, is why these three scenes now “find” their missing samples when the new Sample folder that I just installed does not include those four samples either. I mean “All’s well that ends well” but this just doesn’t make any sense.
Hey Tom, the issue was the tuning label was different on the patches you originally loaded. The DWA engine doesn’t save samples to a patch, it only pulls the sample from the DWA folder, so the sample has to be exactly the same label as the preset. I hope that explains it!
