# Synth 1.1.0 Firmware

Synth 1.1 firmware includes new Arp and Seq rates for triplets and dotted time divisions, as well as Chord Pack editor improvements.

# New Features

- Triplets and Dotted rates added to Arp and Seq.
  - 12 new divisions were added to the Rate selection in both Apr and Seq.

- Chord Pack Editor improvements

Fixes

- [Synced Delay caused audio glitching with an external MIDI clock.](https://backstage.polyend.com/t/delay-clicking-stuttering-when-receiving-external-clock/16017)
- Seq was not playing correctly when switching back to Note from Chord Pack.
- Synth parameter bars and visualization were altered by Macro modifications.
  - The parameter bars now change to grey when modified by a macro

- Adding notes to an Arp in playback mode did not work when using multiple arpeggiators simultaneously
- Macro Control and values sometimes didn’t disappear from the screen header
- Switching from the Effect Presets page to the Effect page sometimes changed the currently selected effect
- Root Note was not autosaving after being changed via the screen button and encoder -
- [Grid Mode could incorrectly display as Follower after switching Layouts](https://backstage.polyend.com/t/grid-mode-could-incorrectly-display-as-follower-after-switching-layouts-synth-slot-no-longer-available-across-pads/16476) -
- Freeze on MIDI Program Change message when Seq / Arp was playing more than one synth voice
- [Mixer Level faders produced audio clicks when adjusting values](https://backstage.polyend.com/t/small-pops-while-adjusting-track-volume-on-synth/16129)
- Possible data corruption after double tapping Shift to release all pads
- Seq sometimes did not play polyphonic sequences correctly when triggered by Chords with active Followers
- [Crash on Save Scene dialog when Seq or Scene buttons were pressed](https://backstage.polyend.com/t/crash-freeze-when-dialog-to-save-scene-is-shown-and-pressing-encoder-seq-scene-buttons/16197)
- Some Grid Scale names were not fully visible due to character limits now names are abbreviated to fit
- Some Synth LFO Ratio and Delay effect Time values had incorrect names
- Macro Control and Master Volume/Tempo/Pitchbend values sometimes didn’t disappear from the screen header
- Many Chord Editor fixes and UI improvements

### INSTALLATION GUIDE

[Synth Firmware](https://polyend.com/downloads/synth-downloads/)
NOTE: If you are running Open Beta #3, there is no need to update. This is the same firmware.

1. Download and extract the firmware from [Polyend.com](https://polyend.com/downloads/synth-downloads/)
2. Copy the .psf firmware file to your Synth SD card → Firmware folder
3. Best Practice: save your current scene to avoid any potential data loss
4. On the Synth menu, navigate to Main Menu → System Settings → Firmware → Update Firmware → .psf file
5. Click the encoder and confirm with Yes

After the update, create a new scene to initialize the config settings

Any progress on the other firmware Betas…?
It seems Synth progressed relatively quick from Beta #1 till #3 and Final.

Fortunately the fixes in #2 were relatively minor, and #3 only had one fix from a previous beta so the turnaround was fast.
Play and Tracker beta fixes are in the works, Play should see a new beta first.

Huge! I was on beta so I already had most of the functionalities, but an official release is always a good time for celebration, congratulations for the good hard work! 😃
