Not so lucky, but my roommate bought a SP12 to match a ASR10 and a mpc60 and an acquaintance had the sp1200 and they all sounded super nice.
I’m humbled only by two samplers now MPC4k which really is an amazingly powerful sampler, mod matrix allways at hand via touch of a button. Tought me allot and how appealing simple patching of velocity to multiple destinations can spring life to samples…
The other is Radikal Technologies Spectralis its a sample player /va modular groove box hybrid/ with analog filters so samples can be routed to or used as FM modulation on/ through the analog filters, yet even just convert of waves loaded to the engine gives supercharged fidelity, sounds big and phat straight from the outs kinda like my SP … have outboard and mixers for any added color at will …
Would love a Isla but Im far away from my studio on a pilgrim journey and not really supposed to endeavor in materialism …
I recently received my Tracker+ and was disappointed to learn that we cannot sample over USB. The Digitakt and SP404mk2 and other kit have spoiled me because of this feature.
When I’m in that state of slow and making music i want the ability to capture sounds and phrases on the fly, so i feel Audio In over USB is essential for Sampling on the Tracker+.
I Voted for this feature as well, but i just wanted to voice my opinion it as well.
Since we have USB outputs and input on the tracker, we should be able to sample via usb right now?
Is it correct? I somehow can’t get it to work. My Ableton sends signal to the “output” channel, which is the input on the tracker, but I can’t seem to get any signal into the machine.
I’m going to test if this works apart from the aggregate device, maybe im just lost like a dog in the fog and made some mistake? not sure here.
Since during recording nothing is output from the Line Out usually (except when overriding the behaviour with this USB trick) there is luckely no feedback (eventhough that would be interesting).
Cool. I just tried it and was able to Sample from YouTube over USB. I had to use Loopback to help with the audio routing, but I was able to capture some Marshall McLuhan snippets to pepper throughout my music
Whatever works ya know
Thanks for posting info on this hack…
Hopefully this little “audio signal” routing trick helps them implement it in an future update I hate all these cables sticking out the back of my PT+ HAHAH
