Hi each. Has anyone had a glitch sometimes when in a menu? I open a menu and for example try changing the sample and the menu automatically closes before I can select a new sample…it’s almost like the touch reactive pots have a mind of their own.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey there @groundstate2014, sorry you are dealing with this issue. I’m curious, does this happen randomly with any encoder, or are their specific knob(s) that exhibit this behavior? If you think it’s a or a couple of specific knobs, try giving them a workout for a minute or so by turning them back and forth in different directions as its possible there might be dirt or debris interacting with the encoder and that can help clean them out.

Could you also provide how and what you are using to power your Play? Cheers!

Sounds like 1 of the encoders is probably triggering the touch feature. Does it go to the same parameter each time the menu changes? If so then removing and reseating that encoder may help, if not please contact support as it sounds like a hardware issue. Hola, a mí me ha pasado alguna vez y lo solucioné tirando un poco de las perillas hacia afuera, sin sacarlas, solamente quitarlas presión.

Hi, many thanks for the reply. Random thing keep just happening no matter what menu I seem to be in…it wilk just literally randomly do weird stuff now matter what menu I seem to be in. Is there a way I can disable the capacitive pots to at least eliminate them?

That would be useful to start diagnosing the issue.

yeah there is an option in the menu to turn off capacitive touch and you can use the buttons left of the screen to choose the top or bottom parameter

Yeah, all official Polyend gear.. never had anything like this with any manufacturers stuff before. Just feel like cutting my losses and moving on.
