# MIDI Thru on Play/Play+

Hey there! So Play does not output MIDI Thru to MIDI Channel of my choice?

My setup: KeyStep 37 → Play → Electribe 2.  
No matter how I set MIDI on KeyStep and Play, it still plays on Electribe MIDI Channel 1.

P.S. Electribe has fixed MIDI Channels 1-16 but it should not matter because it’s receiving.

Should be the same as for the tracker:

So tldr; its a midi out, not proper midi thru.  
Get a midi thru box.

Can confirm there is no MIDI Thru on the Play. It was a feature request in the past which was declined.
