I’m considering getting the Mini, but I was wondering if there’s any risk (or chance, actually) a new one will come out and I’ll regret my purchase. I’m sure many people felt that with Tracker+ and Play+, so I’d prefer to avoid that fate, if possible.
I don’t believe any company is going to release such an information. Personally I don’t see that happening soon… but if you fear this happening, maybe you could wait till the Superbooth.
I’m just guessing of course. I think the Mini is “on par” with the Tracker +, also they complement each other’s well, having almost the same software. A new mini, with new features, in theory will not be fully compatible with the plus current software. The only case I could see that happening if there’s a big update of the Tracker Plus…
The mini is a great device, if you connect with it’s workflow. Not feeling outdated IMO. Maybe the buttons coud feel better, but im nitpicking.

The OG Tracker was a 4 year old device before the Tracker+ was released.
The mini is less than 2 years old, spec wise I think the Tracker+ and Mini are the same as they are both compatible with each other. I’d like to think Polyend would not release an updated model so soon like they did with Play+, it probably wouldn’t be great for customer relations again 
I just ordered the Mini myself, I had the Tracker+ but wanted to try the Tracker workflow on the go, can’t wait to hook it up with the Play and Maschine+

The mini already has more features than I’ve been able to use so far. You can get a used one, and it’ll depreciate less if a new version ever comes out. I picked up an OG Tracker and it’s still very capable.
