That’s odd, according to the manual (p. 109) it should be the same because you us the same pad:
Once a pattern is recorded and ‘Play’ mode is active, the pattern can be played. Press [Pad] to play the sequenced pattern. If pressing the original first pad, the notes will be the same as recorded or can be offset by notes relative to any other pad played. If MIDI Transport is configured this may affect the sequencer playback.
I tested with my Synth, and there it works just as it should, and I did not find a way to make it behave like yours.
Now I’m on the latest beta firmware, which fixes a bug that might be related:
(Sure, the description is pretty generic, but still).
If the problem persists with the new firmware, here’s how to find out where to look exactly:
(Save a copy of your scene before trying that!)
- Is it a glitch? reboot the synth and try again
- Is ist a MIDI problem? Unplug all MIDI cables (just to be sure) and try again (make sure to set clock and transport accordingly, otherwise the seq might not play)
- Is it a problem in the preset? Load another preset into that slot
- Is it a problem in the scene? Load another scene
- Is it a problem with corrupted settings? Delete the settings file from the workspace folder on the SD card (or simply delete the whole folder, after all you made a backup of the scene
