Bug Description
The MIDI notes are not being sent consistently to the external MIDI device. When playing just one pattern in a loop, there is no issue, but when switching patterns, sometimes the MIDI notes are sent, and sometimes they are not. I have tried using the official Polyend MIDI adapter of the Polyend Tracker+ as well as another Type B adapter, and also changed the MIDI cable, but the results remain the same.
When I unplug and replug the MIDI adapter, the Tracker+ starts sending MIDI out normally. But if I stop the pattern and try to play the sequence again from the Pattern Page or Song Mode Page, the inconsistency reappears. (see attachment)
I’ve tried this with various external MIDI instruments: a modular synth (via MIDI to CV), Elektron Digitone, and Sequential Take5. The inconsistency persists across all of them. I’ve tried to sequencing my routing and setup via Ableton or even my Polyend Play and it’s sequence smoothly. So I’m pretty sure it’s from my Tracker+ (I bought it less than a week)
Reproduction Steps
- Create a sequence of combined patterns between sample and MIDI patterns.
- Switch patterns from the Pattern Page or Song Mode.
- Observe whether the MIDI notes are triggered or not (in my case, it’s inconsistent).
- Try previewing the steps from that MIDI pattern.
- I need to unplug and plug again the midi adapter to make it to normal behavior
Occurrence
Bug is always reproducible. Every time I stop and play pattern
