Engine and presets selectable by program change

What is the problem?

Utilising the synth from an external DAW or any other external sequencer is quite cumbersome, as you have to create a scene and load it with engines and sounds. This limits the use of the synth as a great external synt more or less, which is a shame as the engines and the sounds are fabulous

What should this feature achieve?

Creation of a MIDI scene, where the engines could be selected through program change messages such as multibank select, and the patches available as well.

Drawback could be that patches are 0-127, which would mean that you would be limited to 128 patches for a specific engine, that could of course by handled by allowing Engine “Grain” 1, Engine “Grain” 2 for 256 patches. Or some other smarter way

Are there any workarounds?

Manual.

Patch selecting system for instance for old stuff JV-1080, which could be expanded with new cards.

Polyend Synth with proper Program Change Message support will make this instrument even more usefull, so good request
but since the patches are sorted by names instead sorted by numbers, this will be not possible that easy.
(if you save a new patch, sorting of the patches will be get really messy)

By the way:
128 patches per engine would be fine for me
