What is the problem?
As i often record multiple samples of a sound into the tracker it gets old pretty fast to allways put in the same name and a following number. It would be such a convenient addition to handle the samples standalone in the device without needing a pc.
Solution idea: when being in the writing box in the naming menu, press ‘copy’. The tracker remembers if there is another recording. When back in the writing box press ‘shift’ and ‘copy/paste’ to insert the previously copied name. Fancy addition would also be to increase the follow up digits with every additional paste.
I aint got no clue how hard this would be to implement but it would make me very happy!

What should this feature achieve?
Ease of sorting multiple samples. As fun as the typing on the tracker is… It takes some time to individually name multiple samples of similar recordings within the device limitations so far.
Are there any workarounds?
Shorten the names of samples and change them later with a card reader and a pc

Its possible with the digitakt. Just press the button combination for copy in the naming section after recording. The DT will remember for the next recording. Like above Just press button combo for paste this time.
