I got my Tracker+ the other day and was honestly kind of shocked there’s no convert to mono option or import mono. How the hell do y’all make a stereo sampler with no ability to work with the stereo field? I like my basses, drums, most of my breaks in mono so this is super annoying. The OG tracker already imports and converts stereo samples to mono…why is this not an option on the Tracker+? This seems like a really, REALLY easy fix. ---

I think it’s an easy option to implement in Sample Editor. It’s quite annoying to go back and forth in ableton ---

Yeah have to agree, I was shocked too. I hate to be negative as I really love my Tracker, but it’s kind of mad that stuff like this isnt implemented from Day 1, and we have to create “wishes” which sit on this board for a year(!) just to get extremely basic functionality. If polyend could give us an indication of like “yep we hear you on this, it’s obvs a key ease of use function, it’s simple for us to implement and we’ll do it in the next firmware” it would make their customer base a lot happier. This would be easy to implement in the software - either via the import (which seemingly converted to mono anyway in the OG) or via the sample editor. ---

Two years later this very trivial option is still missing. Gotta honestly ask: why? Can’t expect users to just sample from your Palettes. ---

Just here to bump this feature request 2+ years later. I can’t begin to understand how PE can get so much right and still fumble the most basic functionality 😑 ---

I`ll try in our native language, maybe then it will help somehow: RODACY! da sie zaimplementować opcje konwersji ze stereo do mono w trackery [plus (“i minus to jedyne co widze”) i mini] czy jest jakas grubsza przeszkoda? do zycia ta funkcja nie jest moze niezbedna, ale do bardziej radosnego niz obecnie tworzenia kakofonii za pomocą prześwietnego, acz, nie zawsze perfekcyjnego urządzenia waszej produkcji juz jak najbardziej. pozdro 2137 ---

Bump. Just got a brand new Tracker+ and was shocked to find out a stereo sampler has zero stereo sampler editing capabilities. This is a must especially to conserve memory. I like to record everything in stereo and then later decide if I want to keep just one side or sum both. It’s a simple feature to add to the sample editor: “Stereo To Mono” \> “Left Only, Right Only, Both Channels” \> “Apply”. Thank you guys. Dziękuję bardzo! ---
