Bug Description
What happens?
When using the ACD Filter Type selector encoder during sound design or performance, turning the encoder beyond the first or last filter model produces audible click or pop noises. This happens even though no additional filter models exist to be selected. Crackling is more noticable when filter is closed.
Additional context:
It is easy to accidentally turn the Filter Type encoder instead of the Resonance knob, especially in low-light conditions. This is a common scenario during live sound design, where filter cutoff and resonance are frequently adjusted. Such unintended interactions can disrupt the sound, particularly during performances.
Expected behavior:
Once the first or last filter model is selected, further turns of the encoder should have no audible effect or affect the currently selected filter. These actions should be ignored to ensure smooth operation and prevent unintended audio artifacts.
Steps to Reproduce
Navigate to the ACD Filter Type selector.
- Select the first filter model (e.g., LP SV24) or the last filter model (e.g., LP RD3).
- Continue turning the encoder to the left (if on the first model) or to the right (if on the last model).
- Listen for audible click or pop noises despite the selection not changing.
- (Optional) Simulate a performance scenario with limited visibility and note how easy it is to mistakenly interact with the Filter Type encoder instead of the Resonance knob.
