Advice on boosting radio reception?

Use a cable with the end clipped off. I found out on the op1 by accident, as the cable had broken inside. Awful sound quality. Sterling aerial capabilities.

Anyone found ways to boosting the radio reception?

In the Manual is mentioned
“Reception can be improved by connecting an arial or cable
into the output connection.”

Since we only have 1 output, can I then use a stereo splitter and connect one of the out to an antenna for boosting this? [If I dont think that my headphone and audio cable-boost it enough]

Use the shitiest pair of headphones you have with the longest cable possible

Good headphones with insulated cables don’t work well.

Oh, and I use the European config (even though I’m not in Europe), it seems more precise in the frequency selection.

Mine didn’t work I’m in South West uk

Yeah do we even have FM anymore in the UK? I thought it was cancelled

It’s fine for me, though I only get five or so stations. I did get a faulty unit initially, which cut out to a mono signal at certain input levels, but all good since the replacement came.

Are you in the UK? I can’t get anything just noise and some faded sounds of stations

I am. Perhaps try a cable into the input, unplugged at the other end.

Oh is the input the Ariel?

I don’t know. It works on the op1 and if it’s tied to the earth it might work.. for the sake of 2 minutes, it’s worth trying.

[Presuming non-USA] Maybe (I am just throwing out this idea) a DAB adapter is a solution to broadcast FM from a DAB receiver.

E.g. $50 – might require 12v DC power:

i mostly get tasty shades of white noise, hiss and high pitched whistle which is ok for me. germany countryside.
